At Precinct2gether, we have an unwavering commitment to deliver impactful and transformative programs that bring immense value to the diverse communities within Harris County Precinct 2.

We believe in providing equal opportunities for all, especially those who may face barriers or challenges. Our programs are carefully crafted to address the specific needs of underserved residents, ensuring they have the resources and support necessary to thrive.

Seniors

We prioritize the well-being of our senior community members by offering programs that promote physical, social, and mental health through daily activities. We also provide transportation for senior trips, free meals in community centers, and meal delivery to homebound seniors. Through these initiatives, we aim to enhance their quality of life and promote healthy aging.

Veterans

Recognizing the sacrifices made by our veterans, we strive to provide them with essential assistance and support as they transition back into civilian life. Our programs, which include counseling services, veteran benefits assistance, and transportation services, are designed to empower them with resources, skills training, and employment opportunities that enable a smooth reintegration into society.

Parks & Trails

We proudly support our precinct’s 55 well-maintained, vibrant parks and public spaces. By investing in their upkeep and enhancement and preserving historic resources, we create safe spaces for residents of all ages to enjoy recreational, outdoor activities while fostering a sense of community connection.

Health Services

As one of Commissioner Garcia's top priorities, Precinct2gether ensures that all residents have access to essential healthcare services. This includes flu shots, vaccine distribution, physical exams, mental health care, and more.

Youth

Our youth programs focus on closing learning gaps and providing enrichment experiences for low-income, marginalized, and underserved youth. We strive to empower them with resources and support that will help them thrive academically.

Workforce Development

Our Core Initiatives include Employment Support and Training and Development. We provide technology access and assistance for job seekers, including help with email, job searches, resumes, and mock interviews. We also offer workshops and training programs for those entering or changing careers.

As a member of the Board, I will actively contribute to the leadership and governance of Precinct2gether. I will support the organization's mission by providing strategic guidance and oversight in collaboration with fellow board members. I commit to reviewing outcomes and metrics that evaluate our impact and regularly measuring our performance against those metrics.

I understand that as a board member, it is my responsibility to review agenda items and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings. Additionally, I will actively participate in discussions regarding PRECINCT2GETHER's annual budget, audit reports, material business decisions, as well as assist in identifying potential new board members.

Furthermore, I pledge to represent PRECINCT2GETHER diligently by acting as an ambassador for the organization among stakeholders. It is important for me to ensure that PRECINCT2GETHER maintains a diverse board and staff that reflects the communities we serve.

In line with PRECINCT2GETHER's expectation for philanthropic support from its Board Members, I commit to making an annual gift that reflects my capacity. This contribution will enable PRECINCT2GETHER to confidently seek contributions from foundations, organizations, and individuals who share our vision.
