Question: What grade does my child have to be in to participate in the program?
Answer: Students must be in the 3rd grade to participate in the After School Program (ASP) and the Summer Day Camp (SDC) Program
Question: How much does the program cost?
Answer: The ASP is free of charge and the SDC has a $10 activity fee
Question: Does the program provide transportation?
Answer: Parents are responsible for dropping off and picking up their children for the ASP and SDP. We provide transportation for students to all field trips provided by the program.
Question: Is there a deadline to submit the application for the After School/ Summer Day Camp program?
Answer: There is no deadline to submit an application. However, we can only serve a certain amount of students at each site; therefore, the programs are on a first come first serve basis.
Question: Can my child attend the program once he completes his After School Tutorials required by the district? (Usually come to ASP after 4:00 PM)
Answer: As much as we would like to have your child in our program it is very important that our ASP students attend the program in its entirety (attendance and homework assistance is done at beginning of program - students miss out on scheduled activities when they come in late to the program).
Question: Does my child have to attend the school where ASP or SDC is held?
Answer: Yes, the child must attend the school where the program is being held during the ASP. We do offer more flexibility during the Summer Day Camp Program. The student does not have to attend that school in order to attend; however, the parents must be able to get the student to and from that Summer Camp site.
Question: If my child turned in his/her registration form and did not show up for the program for over a week, is he dropped from program?
Answer: The program has the right to drop a student from the program if they are not attending. This is to allow all student applicants the opportunity to attend this first come first serve program. We will contact the parent to check on the student's ability to attend prior to dropping the student from the program.
