| The Precinct2gether Senior Citizen Program provides festive companionship and fun, while embracing the concerns of the day. The Senior Program is divided into three geographic areas, served by three Area Coordinators: North Channel, South Channel, and Inner City, Most events are held at the Precinct Two community center buildings, parks, and open-air pavilions, although through partnerships, they are occasionally held at non-precinct facilities. At our Harris County Precinct Two Community Centers seniors enjoy a variety of activities such as seasonal parties, birthday luncheons, domino tournaments, craft workshops, physical fitness activities, monthly dances, computer classes, and educational seminars - not to mention our annual Senior Olympics, cascarones workshop, and ticketed events such as Astros, Imax, and theater productions. The Precinct Two Transportation Department provides buses for Precinct2gether registered senior groups for day and overnight trips. The Precinct2gether Senior Citizen Program currently reaches more than 300 senior citizen groups, 22 nursing homes, and operates within the eight Precinct Two Community Centers.
