Precinct2gether Senior Program

What’s up?
A wide variety of activities and classes are offered at the eight Harris County Precinct Two Community Centers. 

Transportation for outings is offered through the Precinct Two Transportation Department.  Popular outings include trips to Astros games, museums, live theater productions, and exploring nearby Texas destinations.

Seasonal Parties provide year-round fun.  Precinct2gether offers its very own Senior Olympics competitions. 

Live bands perform at Monthly dances.  Good Health is stressed at Annual Health Fairs and seminars.

Congregate and homebound meals as well as access to a social worker are available through Precinct Two.

Special transportation needs are addressed through our Voucher Transportation Program.

Each fall during Food Harvest week we deliver food baskets to needy senior families.

Who is eligible?

The Precinct2gether Senior Citizens Program is for seniors ages 50+.  (Non-senior spouses are also invited to participate.)

For a senior group to register for use of the Precinct Two buses, at least half of the members must reside in Harris County Precinct Two.  Area coordinators work with senior group leaders from throughout the precinct.

Nursing Home residents are served through the Precinct2gether Nursing Home Program.

Is there a cost?

Most activities are free of cost.  However, some do have nominal charges to cover the cost of supplies, etc. 
Monthly Dances are a fund-raiser for the Precinct2gether Senior Program, and have a nominal admission fee.

There are several fund-raisers throughout the year that need your support.  Corporate sponsorships are also available.  Tax-deductible donations are always appreciated.  And, volunteer opportunities are also available.
